Today was day 3 for TMS. It was substantially less uncomfortable. Ina couple days it will probably be readily tolerable.
Saw the oncologist today as well. We now know the effect of going of the Casodex since late November. My PSA has risen to 8.7, about where I was 14 months ago when I was first diagnosed with stage IV cancer. One view of this is that I’m stable more or less after 14 months. The other view is the cancer made a pretty quick comeback from the radiation treatment I had. On balance I’m more scared than relieved, but there’s not much to do. The doc wants me to stay off casodex for at least another month and then we see.
I’m just hoping the anxiety attacks aren’t too bad.
Thinking of you!
Thanks!
I was reading a post by a doctor a couple of weeks ago who said PSA stands for “Pressure, stress and anxiety.”
Sorry, guess that isn’t helpful.
Hang in there.
So true, so true. They want to do a bone scan and CAT scan next. This is just to see how far it’s spread. They acknowledge they’ll take no action. This is just to get a status. Another pair of high anxiety tests. Sigh.
Mixed news, as it so often is with us. Keep breathing.
Ain’t that the truth. Keep breathing.
