Met with my friend/best man (mentioned in the January 2 entry). We had a great time. Finally had a chance to tell him how much I learned from him.
Got an email from my terminal illness psychologist. He included some very insightful tips for improving my resume and asked permission to make some calls on my behalf. Hell yes! I’m humbled by how much this guy genuinely cares about his patients.
Internet searches suggest the median survival rate after diagnosis of a metastatic spread is 30 months. Not too far from my guess of three years. Can’t say I feel accomplished. Then again I need to remember that this study started at least 10 years ago (has to be to get the full range of data), so the treatments are a decade old. I would assume that in the last ten years median survivability has improved. I’ll ask my oncologist about this.
Still feeling good, though!
