  1. Sorry I haven’t been around for awhile. I’ve been dealing with my own breast cancer. Although the surgery removed all of it and it had not spread to my lymph nodes, it was an aggressive form so I’m going through chemotherapy now. I definitely wanted to check in and say I’m glad you are out and about. I know what you mean about wanting to focus on something other than cancer. I feel like I haven’t been able to talk about anything else since the diagnosis! I hope you find many ways to enjoy yourself on your trips. I’m still here, thinking about you and wishing you well!

    • So sorry to read about your struggles. Especially sorry you have to go through chemo. It is very hard to not have cancer in your daily life once you’re diagnosed with it. I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

  2. I’m glad to hear that you’ve started up this Gilded Age Travel plan and I’m glad it was a success (other than the early departure due to the hurricane)!

  3. So glad you were able to enjoy a brief getaway to a beautiful hotel with a fantastic view. The food sounds to die for…but not just yet! Keep doing the things you enjoy. It makes a difference.

  4. Haven’t checked in for a while and this post made my day. Thank you for sharing your experience and the beautiful view. Great reminder to live fully each day, backaches and hurricanes be damned!
